Special Monday programming to get your week started right! Spiking in a few new tunes and some new-to-you tunes with a bit of that alternative leaning “AC” flair! First up tp bat is the new heavy hitter from The Killers! Don’t forget to let your light shine bright! The world needs to see your light shine!
Second on the agenda for some new tunes plays off the Featured Friday song from a band called Saint Motel. A heavily alternative leaning band but this song reminds us that no matter what comes our way, we’re golden! We got this! And adding a few lines from the tune in as part of our weekly positive mantra: Stay Golden, you killed it, you know it! Stay golden, your colors are showing, stay golden!
Time for one more? We think so! We have spun a few tunes from Two Door Cinema Club in the past but this is the newest of the two from them. No announcement on a new album as a follow up to 2022s Keep on Smiling, but this song definitely has a fun upbeat tune that is swelling with happiness. The days may feel the same as always but it’s important to find the happiness in each day we’re given!
BUT WAIT! There’s more! Bright and early this morning (aka the 6 am hour) we started the morning off with an alt-rock band that is probably the most well known for the song Sail. AWOLNATION has been a band that’s always been really close on my radar for new releases and they have a new album coming out at the end of this month. The Phantom Five, slated for release on August 30th. This next tune is a reminder that no matter what is going on in the world, outside influences out of our control, every morning we wake up is a great reason to celebrate and be happy! Featuring Del the Funky Homosapien, it’s “I am Happy” by AWOLNATION.
