The treaty purchasing the Danish Virgin Islands from Denmark, for $25,000,000 in gold, is ratified by the U.S., with the U.S. purchasing them the following week and taking possession two months later. The U.S. Virgin Islands are the only place in the U.S. where traffic drives on the left.

Washington D.C. mayor Marion Barry is filmed by the FBI smoking crack in a hotel room. He was later convicted of misdemeanor drug possession.
Betty Ford Dances On White House Table……
